Gary Teasdale was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up in California. His favorite place to hang out was the beach. He lived in the water and delighted in catching crabs and even sharks to impress the girls.

Diving was his first love, so it was not surprising that one of his first assignments as a professional photographer was a publicity shoot for Marine World, a Sea World type of amusement park in northern California. From cavorting with dolphins and catching the spray from killer whales, to the expressions of wonder and delight on children’s faces as they touched a starfish or examined an octopus, Gary's goal then and now has been the same -  to capture the magic of the moment, the awesome wonder of creation, the emotional splendor of a dream come true so it can be recognized, remembered and shared with loved ones for generations.

Throughout his career, Gary’s work has been featured repeatedly in major magazines such as National Geographic, Look, Life and popular diving magazines. In fact, at one time he was ranked #12 in the world! Besides Marine World, Gary has done publicity shoots for Habitat for Humanity, WRCO, Shutaf and others. He has photographed over 600 weddings, including one wedding on a reservation in Wyoming.

He loves to photograph people candidly. He’s a favorite for photographing bar/bat mitzvah children and even pets because of his easy-going way and unobtrusive style. Having retired from travel photography, Gary is available to photograph your simcha and life-cycle event. Be it bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, brit or family portraits, Gary will capture the magic of your special moment.
